Under the title "Beute(l)züge durch die Literatur. Keineswegs Abfälliges von Menschen und Müllbeuteln (A foray through literature. By no means derogatory towards man and bin liner)", a book was recently published by the Frankfurt based Dielmann publishing house in conjunction with Swirl®. The book, which contains a collection of literary texts, novel excerpts and stories about waste, the waste bin and tidiness, is distributed via bookstores throughout Germany. A total of 25 writers, from Heinrich Böll and Samuel Beckett to Stephen King and young authors such as Simone Unger or Peter Untucht provide an insight into the waste bin and the recycling of existence. The book, which has nearly 100 pages, closes with the poem "Chor der Müllabfuhr (Chorus of Waste Disposal)" by Heinz Erhard: "Come! Let's rush from bin to bin! We want to put our waste therein!" This book makes one curious about the different facets of literature and is certainly not for the waste bin.
The hardcover book costs 14 euro, has 96 pages and is available in bookstores (ISBN 3 933974 76 3) or direct from the Dielmann publishing house (neugier@dielmann-verlag.de). Order from Amazon
