Dust, dirt and fluff can be a real problem when spring cleaning. Special attention should also be given to upholstered furniture and mattresses, because mites love to make themselves comfortable there:only 14 percent of the unwanted guests in the living room live in the carpet. The remaining 86 percent reside on upholstered furniture and in gaps in the upholstery. Mites populate bedrooms as follows: seven percent on the carpet, 35 percent in the bedding and 58 percent on the mattress (source: Ingenieurbüro Winkens, Wegberg).
Special tools for the vacuum cleaner, for example the "Vario Upholstery Nozzle" with extra-flat and wide suction inlet, clean dust, mites and fluff from upholstery and mattresses gently and thoroughly. Due to its compact form, spaces in the upholstery and between mattresses are not a problem. The Swirl Upholstery Nozzle fits on all commercially available vacuum cleaners* and is available in stores for EUR 6.25 (RRP).
Pet owners, who regularly struggle with animal hair on their upholstery, are ideally equipped with the "Hair and Fuzz Nozzle" (also from Swirl) – this tool has special counter-running plastic fibres, which grasp and vacuum even stubborn hair and fluff easily and thoroughly. The Hair and Fuzz Nozzle is also suitable for all vacuum cleaners* and costs EUR 19.50 (RRP).
*Except Vorwerk and Hoover.
