Swirl has expanded its range with filters for bagless vacuum cleaners. Central filters and exhaust filters, which have to be replaced regularly in bagless vacuum cleaners, are now available as an accessory from the experts for vacuum cleaner filters. Smart additional solution to prolong the performance of the central filter the Swirl Universal Protection Filter made from textile fabric is also available – dust protection and cleaning aid for central filters in bagless vacuum cleaners. It is pulled over the central filter and prevents coarse dirt and dust from coming into contact with the fine filter slats. When the protection filter is clogged with dust, it can be disposed of in the normal waste. You no loger need to go through the complicated process of cleaning the central filter.
With normal usage the central filter should – depending on the model – be exchanged one to three times a year. Exhaust filters at least once a year.
Swirl central filters and Swirl exit airfilters are available for the following bagless vacuum cleaner models: Centrixx Classic, Centrixx Ultima and Centrixx Magnum from Dirt Devil. The Universal Protection Filter is suitable for central filters with a maximum height of 12 cm and a diameter of up to 9.5 cm. One Swirl Central Filter costs EUR 15.75. Central filter: the central filter in bagless vacuum cleaners is a cylinder-shaped lamella filter, which is fitted in the dust container and filters the vacuumed dust. Performance: it supports the filtering performance of the less powerful cyclone motors. Due to the design and the cyclone, these models lose a lot of performance, which is then deficient at the nozzle – regardless of the level of wattage; higher wattage is not synonymous with better performance. Hence, the central filter is the barrier for all dust particles, which are too small and light to be filtered from the air by means of the cyclone vortex. Due to the fact that it clogs quickly and is inconvenient to clean, in most cases it reduces the suction power of the vacuum cleaner. Change: clean regularly by hand after vacuuming, and renew once a year. Cost: EUR 15.75 (RRP for the Swirl Central Filter).
Exit airfilter: cassette filter with pleated glass fibre filter for bagless vacuum cleaners. Also replaces the air filter in certain high-quality vacuum cleaners with bag. Performance: in cyclone vacuum cleaners the third filter level behind the central filter and cyclone. Supports the filtering of fine dust and particles from the exhaust air because the performance of the central filter is usually weak, however, in the process, it also becomes clogged quickly. Change: every 1 to 2 years in vacuum cleaners with bag, once a year in cyclone vacuum cleaners. Cost: EUR 13.75 (RRP for the Swirl Exit airfilter).
Protection filter: an open textile fabric hose which is pulled over the central filter. Performance: protects the central filter against dust particles and facilitates cleaning of the central filter: the protection filter is disposed of in the normal waste after vacuuming and saves cleaning the central filter by hand.Change: each time the vacuum cleaner is used. Cost: EUR 4.19 for 5 pieces (RRP for the Swirl Protection Filter).
